The purpose of the Ambassador Young Adult Ministry (A-YAM) is the integration of young adults into all aspects of church life. Our goal is to meet their spiritual and social needs in a Christian environment. This is accomplished through the implementation of nine major values: the Sabbath, Discipleship, Acceptance, Community, Support, Service, Leadership, Budget, and Change. These values are grouped into four broader areas: Spiritual Growth, Relationships, Community Impact and Empowerment. The A-YAM Ministry, partners with other departments such as Men’s and Women’s Ministries, who also provide a social outlet and spiritual community for our young adults.

The scriptural basis for Young Adult Ministries is 1Timothy 4:12-16 which states “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Neglect not the gift that is in thee which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them; for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee”.
